Alexandra Miller

Board President Alexandra Miller is a Principal at Asakura Robinson Company, an urban planning and landscape architecture firm, where she leads the New Orleans office. Alex is an urban planner who specializes in planning for community revitalization and economic development. Her work focuses on economic and social empowerment of communities that helps residents shape their own urban environments. She has extensive experience in community and land-use planning, real estate development, blight reduction strategies, and community engagement. Alex leads Asakura Robinson’s economic and community development sector, working with clients and stakeholders to create economic policies, programs, and projects that benefit communities socially and environmentally. Her portfolio includes affordable housing strategies, career pathways studies, revitalization plans, commercial corridor analyses, and other projects designed to ensure that all populations realize opportunity within changing environments. As a former public opinion research professional, she also maintains a special focus on research-based projects that inform planning and design work across sectors. Before coming to Asakura Robinson, she worked for Crescent City Community Land Trust to develop permanently affordable housing in New Orleans, and founded her own consulting firm, Miller Urban Consulting. Alex holds a BA in Anthropology from Northwestern University and a Master of Urban Planning from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design
Jodie Manale

Jodie Manale, M.A., REALTOR, GREEN is a full-time, licensed REALTOR with Keller Williams Realty 4550100 in Metairie with expertise in green building, affordable housing, and investment property real estate consulting and serves clients primarily on the eastbank of Orleans and Jefferson Parishes. She has been licensed for over sixteen years and has been a member of the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) since 1997. In 2009, she earned the GREEN designation from NAR and is the current Chair of the Green Committee of the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of REALTORS (NOMAR). As Chair, she is playing an instrumental role in “greening the MLS” and has networked extensively in the greater New Orleans area to create educational opportunities about green building for NOMAR’s 5,000 plus membership association. Jodie also owns Let’s Go Green Properties, L.L.C., a real estate investment company dedicated to making properties more energy efficient and healthy before selling or renting them.
Previously, she served as Chief of the Community Redevelopment Agency and supervised a Brownfields Program for Escambia County in Pensacola, Florida for nearly six years. Her commitment to building sustainable communities began about twenty years ago when she moved to Florida and, as an academic sociologist working on her Ph.D. dissertation, co-authored and published cross-national research on the “Social Origins of Environmental Damage.” Jodie has been a member of the Alliance since 2009 and is a current member of NAR, the Louisiana REALTOR Association, and NOMAR.
Previously, she served as Chief of the Community Redevelopment Agency and supervised a Brownfields Program for Escambia County in Pensacola, Florida for nearly six years. Jessica Riccardo

Jessica Riccardo is the Associate Director of Operations for the Health Systems Division at the Louisiana Public Health Institute (LPHI). In this role, she is responsible for implementing management systems to support efficient operations and assuring alignment of the division’s work across the organization and with the broader community. Programs in the health systems division focus on building the capacity of the primary health care system in the gulf region to deliver affordable, patient-centered care through care coordination, quality improvement, and health information technology.
From March 2011 to August 2013, Ms. Riccardo served as the New Orleans Health Department (NOHD) Transformation Manager, overseeing the Department’s transition from a historical focus on direct primary care to a top-performing local health department, capable of addressing modern health challenges at the population level. Ms. Riccardo led a variety of initiatives to establish organizational capacity, laying the foundation and supporting the development of new department programs in community health, violence prevention, nutritional and physical fitness (Fit NOLA), emergency preparedness, and performance improvement.
Prior to joining the NOHD team, she consulted at the federal level in Washington, DC for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Department of Energy, and Department of Veterans Affairs in the areas of program management, organizational change, financial management, strategic planning, performance evaluation, and workforce planning.

Dean Boyer
Term Ends July 2018
Dean Boyer is a Senior Research Fellow at the Tulane Institute on Water Resource Law and Policy. He was born in California and grew up in Singapore and the San Francisco bay area. Dean graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz with a BA in History. After graduation, he traveled throughout South America and volunteered at an animal refuge in Bolivia. He worked in San Francisco as a shipping coordinator for an online store and a non-profit focusing on coastal issues. He came to New Orleans to attend Tulane University Law School where received a JD with a certification in environmental law. Dean first got involved with the Alliance as an intern and is honored to continue working with such a dedicated and intelligent group of people. In his free time, Dean enjoys biking around New Orleans, hiking, and camping.
Matt Segraves
Term Ends September 2019
Matt is a project manager at NetWork Voluntours. Previously he worked at the Cowen Institute at Tulane, Shepherd Advisors, the Graham Institute for Sustainability, the Congressional Research Service and has interned with the Alliance. He has an undergraduate degree from Tulane in environmental policy, a masters degree from the University of Michigan in sustainable systems and is a part-time MBA student at Tulane. He also likes to volunteer with Bike Easy and YLC Kicks.
David Gereighty
Term Ends September 2019
Graduate of Tulane University and George Washington University, David is a lead engineer at Jacobs-Linder in Metarie, LA. David has served as chair of the Tulaine Engineering Forum and On the Tulane Engineering School Board of Advisors. His civic engagement includes his candidacy for U.S. Representative for the State of Louisiana, and work for the Young Leadership Council.
Samuel Wilcher
Term Ends September 2018
Samuel Wilcher has been a fighter for sustainability and renewable energy since his days living in New York. He was introduced to the Alliance for Affordable Energy when he moved to NOLA and found an organization whose aim of Affordable renewable Energy matched his personal beliefs.
