In the Gulf hurricanes always seem to bring more than rain and wind and storm surges. They seem to always bring a lot of questions. Certainly, this is true in New Orleans where the aftermath of Isaac has lead to a lot of questions about just how well the lessons of Katrina have (or haven’t) been learned. Here’s a selection of what the media have to say about it.
Bob Marshall had this to say on nola.com. The picture he paints isn’t a pretty one. Nola.com also reports on Mayor Mitch Landrieu’s comments regarding an investigation into Entergy’s handling of power outages in the aftermath of Isaac.
The Huffington Post, among many other outlets, reports that oil from the BP Deepwater Horizon disaster was washed ashore by Hurricane Isaac. Meanwhile, the New York Times looks at how much (or how little) relief the rains accompanying the storm provided to drought stricken states north of the Gulf.
