This Thursday, Jan 17th at 9 am, the New Orleans City Council Utilities Committee Meeting will be almost entirely devoted to energy efficiency! The agenda includes a progress report for the Energy Smart program and will include information on how the public can participate in decisions related to Integrated Resource Planning and the expansion of Energy Smart in phase 2.
Since its launch in 2011, Energy Smart, which is New Orleans’ city-wide energy efficiency program, has successfully reduced energy waste and saved homeowners a lot of money.
If you are interested in energy policy, would like to voice your opinion to the City Council, or just would like learn more about the future of energy efficiency in our city, this is the meeting to attend!
