Hosted by the Greater New Orleans Foundation, GiveNOLA Day is the community’s first one-day, online giving event to inspire people to give generously to nonprofit organizations who make our region a stronger and thriving community for all.
On May 6, 2014, from midnight to midnight, The Alliance is participating in GiveNOLA Day. On that day, every donation $10 and above will receive a little lagniappe if you donate to us through http://www.givenola.org, our community’s online resource, organized by the Greater New Orleans Foundation, that connects donors with nonprofit organizations like us.
Here’s how it works:
- Visit our http://www.GiveNOLA.org site anytime between midnight and midnight on May 6.
- Click “Donate Now.” Your donation will go a long way in helping us reach our goal of $2,500.
- Support the work the Alliance does to protect consumers’ rights and advocate for clean, local, affordable energy.
All gifts given that day will be stretched by a portion of a $200,000 Lagniappe Fund, plus have a chance at additional awards and prizes-making your dollar go further.
Each hour we receive a donation, we are eligible for a $1000 bonus prize. This means that a 4:00 AM donation of $10 (or more!) Might just mean the Alliance receives $1010!
