The Alliance will be participating in GiveNOLA day, this coming Tuesday, May 5. Perhaps you’ve seen the signs around New Orleans, and are wondering what all the fuss is about? Well here are some details!
-On Tuesday May 5, 2015, from 12:00 AM-11:59 PM you can go HERE to lend your support to the Alliance.
-When you give, your money is boosted by the Lagniappe Fund, making your gift even more valuable!
-GiveNOLA day is organized by the Greater New Orleans Foundation, and is supported by local businesses.
-For 24 hours, you can show us how much our work means to you.
-There are special prizes for each hour of giving, so donate ANY time of the day
Think about all of the ways The Alliance has worked for you in the last 30 years.
-We’ve advocated for consumers to make sure residents and small businesses aren’t footing the bill for expensive power plants they don’t need!
-We’ve got Energy Efficiency programs STATEWIDE, bringing down the costs of efficiency to lower your bills even more!
-We’ve supported renewable energy at the state and local level, including solar. New Orleans is now a Solar Star, with one of the top penetrations of solar energy in the country!
-Through our education and outreach programs we’ve taught hundreds of kids about what efficiency really means, and how they can be agents of change at home.
